We welcome our new guests!

With the new semester also new scholarship programs start. We are pleased to welcome our guests to the ABI.

Professor Alexander Boniface Makulilo, from the University of Dar es Salaam in Tanzania, is joining the ABI as an AvH Fellow (Alexander von Humboldt Research Fellow) until July. He will be conducting research as part of the "Election and Technology in Africa 1" project.

Dr. Anusa Daimon from the University of the Free State in South Africa is employed as an AvH Fellow at the Institute of Ethnology at the University of Freiburg.

Catherine Ng'ang'a, a KAD scholarship recipient, is pursuing a Ph.D. in Political Science at the University of Freiburg. Her research, supervised by Andreas Mehler, is titled "The Role of Narratives and Power in the Construction and Legitimation of Post-Conflict Regimes: The Case of Ethiopia's Derg (1974-91) and EPRDF (1991-2012) Regimes."

Reuben Dela Klutse and Parrendah Adwoa Kpeli, doctoral candidates from the University of Ghana (Political Science and Economics), are spending time at the Africa Centre for Transregional Research (ACT) in Freiburg under the ERASMUS+ program until February.
