Since starting the war in Ukraine, Russia increasingly tried to strengthen its economic and diplomatic relations with several African states. Tim Glawion concludes that although Russia's interest in the African states is in parts related to the exploitation of mineral resources, its geopolitical conflict with Europe and the USA plays a far bigger role.
